此件白玉质，温润细腻。立体圆雕。象呈回首观望状，门齿前伸，长鼻甩至一侧，鼻端上卷，大耳下垂，额部佩戴流苏，四柱足。象背铺有毡毯，其上刻米字纹。象背侧面趴一童子，手持灵芝、卐字纹等多宝串，前旁站一胡人，头戴毡帽，看向童子，双手握刷，似准备洗背。象以其力大魁威，令百兽畏惧，却同时性灵柔顺，与人为善，自古即被人奉为瑞兽，蕴含“太平有象”的吉祥寓意，意谓天下得治、和平久安。此器通体一色，莹润无比。此洗象题材在乾隆宫廷是倍受皇帝本人喜爱的吉祥纹样。尤其玉雕摆件，作器时多由如意馆照前人洗象图作样雕刻，故童子、胡人和白象的造型皆极富画意。
