水洗乃文人在书房盛水洗笔之器，所以又被称为笔洗。此水洗为翡翠质，种水兼具，古朴雅致。器物为圆雕器皿件，整体呈花叶形，掏膛规整，边缘打曲，线条流畅，一侧镂雕老梅虬枝，上琢灼灼梅花，有喜鹊栖于枝头，配有红木底座，设计巧妙，雅致脱俗。梅花谐音“眉”字，画喜鹊站在梅花枝梢，即组成了“喜上眉（梅）梢”的吉祥图案，民间多以喜鹊喻喜庆之事，描述人逢喜事，神情洋溢的样子。整体雕工精良，寓意吉祥，当为文房之佳器。
