Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 1000 to 1250 CE. A hemispherical bowl of a round but stable form that is constructed via the traditional coil-and-scrape technique. The vessel features a minimalist register of inverted black triangles surrounding the top of the basin, and a petite perforation along one side that perhaps enabled it to be suspended when not in use.
