It is small in size at only 5cm high as the majority of eighteenth century bottles are that were produced at the court. The quality of the jade and the use of the stone to construct a miniature world of a deep gorge allows the viewer to escape the mundanity of the physical world. The straightened mouth lip is also a characteristic of imperially attributed bottles.
