A DUAN STONE TABLE SCREEN PLAQUE, QING DYNASTY China, 19^th century. Of thin rectangular form, the varied hues of gray and beige 'skin' neatly peeled away from the purple stone beneath, and finely incised to depict a monumental landscape in high relief, with a scholar and his attendant crossing a bridge to meet a fellow literati, all situated within an idyllic riverside setting of willow shaded gardens, strewn with rocks, and against a pine-covered mountainous background.

Provenance: French trade.
Condition: Good condition, commensurate with age and exactly as expected from such a piece, with few small nicks and chips to the edges, mostly worn off from decades of handling, and shallow surface scratches, with a fine and homogenous patina overall.

清代《山中人家》端石硯屏
中國，十九世紀。藏品呈長方形，取天然帶石皮端石料為材，石料大氣，石質細膩溫潤，巧用石皮雕刻山水、鄉間小路與屋舍人物；雕琢精湛，景色立體，佈局嚴謹；底部平寬，包漿渾厚。

來源：法國古玩交易。
品相：品相良好，邊緣輕微小刻痕和磕損，表面淺劃痕，整體具有細膩均勻的包漿。
