陈大章，1930年9月出生于北京书画世家，自幼酷爱丹青，被称为“中国画坛巨匠”。国画创作早期以人物为主，后以画山水、松、竹、梅著称于世，多幅作品被中国历史博物馆、中国军事博物馆、日本长崎现代美术馆、加拿大多伦多墨泉博物馆收藏，和作为国礼赠送德国、加拿大、泰国、意大利、韩国等国家元首。现为中国美术家协会会员、工艺美术学会理事、中国名人协会理事，中华和平统一促进会理事、北京海峡两岸书画家联谊会会长、文化部老艺术家书画社社长、中国书画函授大学教授，北京唐风美术馆高级顾问，特约艺术家等。2015年3月30日，艺术家陈大章在京逝世，享年85岁。
