A DREAMSTONE TABLE SCREEN, MING
China, the screen Ming dynasty, the wood Qing dynasty. The marble plaque with a natural, completely untreated pattern of black, grey and russet clouds. The hardwood stand is finely carved and bears a good, old patina.

Provenance: The estate of William Lipton, New York. Old label with inventory number 6206. Over the past 25 years, Lipton owned one of the most recognizable Manhattan art galleries. He was also a seasoned collector with a deep passion for Chinese art.
Condition: Excellent condition with some old wear.
