出版著录：英国伦敦Michael Goedhuis《Chinese and Japanese Bronzes AD.1100-1900》，1989年，编号35 。 器作乳牛形，以精铜为材，以失蜡法提纯熔铸而成。牛作伏身昂首观望状。其首阔口，高额蚕目，短颈壮身，四肢粗短健壮，体表以阴刻手法錾刻有口足，线条柔美，体内中空，背部设有小孔以注水。造型犹如乳牛。此件水丞造型奇绝，或因多次冶炼提纯，其上手沉重，颇具分量。尤体表包浆浓郁，呈相熟旧，尽显苍穆气韵。具有宋代典型造型工艺特征。来源：英帝国司令勋章授勋者John J.Studzinski珍藏。
