盖盒紫檀所制，木色深沉，表面密布牛毛纹。盒作四方，盖作子母口相合，盖沿相交处起灯草线，盒盖严丝合缝，做工精细。造型饱满周正，线条简洁雅致。盒盖上梅竹图，在紫檀沉穆色泽映衬下显得清雅秀美。木色本既沉郁凝厚，呈现端庄素雅之貌，盖面刻画细作，竹枝朴茂清幽中揉以华丽雍容之姿，而现灵秀雅致之貌，富贵祥和之态。一侧刻复堂懊道人，李鱓款。考其用途，或为印泥之用。至为难得。 李鱓，清康熙二十五年（1686）年生，乾隆二十一年（1756）卒，字宗扬，号复堂、别号懊道人、墨磨人，清代著名画家扬州八怪之一。
