19th Cent GIlt Bronze and Marble Mantle Clock. Titled " La Liseuse". Designed by Jean-André Reiche (1752-1817). The clock depicts a seated woman reading a book under oil lamp light.The round enamel dial is marked " Bausse au Meriden, Bould D'ANTIN". The Roman numeral enameled dial indicates the hours and minutes with two dark blue hands. Finished with a footed verde antico marble base.
