A pair of large Canton famille rose vases. 19th century With a tall cylindrical body with a trumpet neck with wavy rim, the neck applied with double gilt lion-cub handles, decorated with rectangular cartouches enclosing scenes of generals ans warriors at court all on a ground of birds, butterflies, chrysanthemums, peonies, other blossoms and fruit branches. Vase mit geschweiftem Rand und trompetenförmigem Hals, am Hals je zwei applizierte buddhistische Löwen mit ihren Jungen, umlaufend dekoriert in den Farben der famille rose mit höfischen Szenen in großen Reserven, umgeben von Vögeln, Schmetterlingen, Päonien, Chrysanthemen und Fruchtzweigen.
