An oblong lacquer box by Hayashi Hiroshi. Late 20th century With three trays (sandan jubako) and a lid. The box is decorated at the outside with heavy gold, a “prehistoric wall painting” in red through which the fabric ground is visible and below a frieze with some “Egyptian hieroglyphs”. The box gives the impression to be made from weathered wood. The trays fitted with brokade. The lid with a crack. Tomobako, the inscription on the lid reading ... hoseki tansu and signed Hiroshi saku. With yellow cloth (ukon nuno). Jh. 4-tlg., allseitig Goldgrund, darüber in schwarzem und brotbraunem Lack über Gewebe eine "prähistorische Wandmalerei" mit Streitwagen und Figuren sowie "ägyptischen Hieroglyphen" in flacher Goldeinlage. Der Deckel in der Art von verwittertem Holz. Innen sind die Fächer mit Brokat ausgeschlagen. Am Deckel ein Sprung.
