A buff pottery single-handled vessel, North West Iran, 2nd Millenium B.C., the sides slightly flaring towards the convex base, a looped handle linking the everted rim to the collared shoulder, umber slip on the handle and shoulder area, 10.6cm. high; and another vessel (2) Provenance: Acquired by Eric Crowe, son of diplomat Sir Eyre Crowe (1864-1925), when he was posted to Tehran as a British diplomat between 1939-41 and thence by descent to Sir Brian Crowe (1938-2020) and family.
