A repoussé bronze appliqué depicting a perching figure facing the spectator, sitting cross-legged and holding a serpent in this right hand, the left hand resting in the lap grasping the shaft of a large cross. A band of beads to the throat, the head bald with braids(?) beneath the ears, trimmed beard. Intact. Beautiful patina. Length 5.2 cm. Weight 7.2 g. Cf. Sedov, B. B.
