FAMILLE - ROSE - VASE, China (unmarked), probably late Qing Dynasty. Square shaped vase with angular recessed shoulder, short neck and angular hooded lid, decorated in famille rose colors. On the four faces figural scenes on stylized water and under stylized clouds: "man and woman on a lotus island", "riding man with slingshot and standing man with outstretched arms", "man riding on a fish and man on lotus leaf", "standing man on a calabash and woman with flower and fruit basket, standing on a leaf". The shoulder decorated with stylized graphic décor and four chews, the lid with peaches, bats and floral motifs. H. 33,5 x l. 18 x w. 18 cm.
