KAMPF, EUGEN (Aachen 1861-1933 Düsseldorf), painting: "Late summer landscape with woman on a country lane", oil on cardboard, signed on the lower right "E. Kampf". Summaric, glazed to impasto worked and impressionistically composed work of the landscape painter, who prefered Flemish, Lower Rhenish and Dutch motifs. Kampf studied at the academy in Antwerp in 1878/80, later in Düsseldorf he was a co-founder of the "St. Luke's Club", the "Freie Vereinigung" and the "Deutscher Künstlerbund".Kampf, who became an academy professor in 1908, successfully participated in important national and international exhibitions since 1880, including in Munich and Berlin, as well as the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
