SCULPTURE GROUP "The three monkeys of Nikkó", bronze, light brown and gold patina. Three sitting monkeys worked in light stylization, covering their eyes, ears and mouth respectively; mounted on three-pass stand. The three monkeys have their origin in the Japanese proverb "see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing" in dealing with the bad and probably go back to an explanation of Confucius on humanity / morality to a disciple. H. 4,5 x L. 7,3 x W. 6,8 cm (patina rubbed).
