SCULPTOR OF THE 20TH C. - SCULPTURE: "Woman with plowshare and ears of corn / Allegory of summer", probably 2nd half of 20th century, bronze, brown patinated, on the stand marked "Besserdich.". Full figure of a standing woman, worked in the style of the 19th century. Probably depicted as an "allegory of summer" or "Ceres" - the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility. H. ca. 22 x w. 10 x d. 9 cm. (Patina rubbed).
