An early 20th century Chinese embroidered black silk piano shawl densely embroidered in peach with nine large flowerheads and scrolling foliage, knotted 50 cm fringe, backed with brown fabric Overall with backing 235 x 235 cm. Condition: Shawl has been stitched onto the backing round the fringe. This can be removed. On one corner this stitching is begging to fail. Shawl is in good condition with on very small hole in one corner. The backing has an L shaped tear and some marks and stains.
