A collection of rare and interesting 20th century cycling ephemera relating primarily to the Olympic Games, to include two annotated programmes for the 1924 Paris Olympics covering the cycling events on 26 & 27 July, two menu cards from a dinner to honour the members of the British cycling team at the 1948 London Olympics, one signed by most of the members of the Track Team and the Road Team, including silver medallists Alan Bannister, Ernie Clements, Gordon Thomas, Ian Scott, and bronze medallists Tommy Godwin, Wilfred Waters, David Ricketts and Robert Geldard, the other signed by most of the Road Team, two London 1948 Olympic Games partially annotated programmes for the cycling road race at Windsor and the track cycling at Herne Hiill Velodrome, a menu card for a London 1948 Olympic Games visit of representatives of all Nations to Fort Dunlop with autographs inside, further cycling programmes from Olympic and Empire games including Paris 1924, Amsterdam 1928, Los Angeles 1932, Berlin 1936, Sydney 1938, London 1948, Auckland 1950, Melbourne 1956, and a programme for a 10 mile road race between the British Olympic Cycle Team and the representatives of Bombay, 1938, (qty), Condition: The collection is in a condition relative to its age, most of the catalogues are held in individual sleeves, some are dog-eared, faded, held together by rusting staples, many have stains and foxing.
