David Taylor was known for his enthusiastic coverage of Graeme Obree's career, notably being the only reporter to travel to Norway in 1993 to report on Obree's successful attempt at breaking the hour record, taking the title from Francisco Moser. Graeme Obree (b. 1965) is a Scottish former professional racing cyclist who broke the hour record twice in 1993 and 1995. His colourful personality and enthralling career is the subject of a 2006 feature-length documentary entitled 'The Flying Scotsman'. Spencer Robert Wingrave (b.1969) is a former racing cyclist who represented Great Britain at international events.
