A collection of ephemera relating to Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013) and Denis Thatcher (1915-2003), dating from c.1960-2003, including a sketch showing directions to the Thatchers' house 'The Mount' in Lamberhurst, Kent, on House of Commons headed paper, a number of signed hand-written and typed letters on House of Commons headed paper from Margaret Thatcher, a series of Christmas cards signed Denis and Margaret Thatcher, an invitation to Denis Thatcher's 80th birthday party, the Order of Service for Denis Thatcher's funeral in 2003, a number of handwritten and typed letters by Denis Thatcher, some on Downing Street headed paper, a number of black and white company photographs, (qty) Condition: The papers have been stored in dry conditions and are all fairly clean, some minor marks and stains as well as dog-ears and tears, but otherwise good. The correspondence is largely addressed to Dr Herman Hamburg who worked with Denis Thatcher at the paint and preservatives company Atlas Preservatives. Dr Hamburg was a long standing friend of the current owner.
