剑格为四件剑具中的一件。剑具包括剑首、剑格、剑璏、剑珌四部分，此件格呈长方形，局部黑沁色，质地盈润，为双面工，雕刻有勾云纹，雕工精湛，线条极为流畅，器物中部有一长孔以供佩戴。此件剑格截面为菱形，两端薄，中间厚，两面均饰兽面纹。兽面为粗眉、凸眼，鼻以下不明显，兽面两侧饰勾云纹。中部有通孔，用以置剑柄，非常值得收藏。
