PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF KIM GREEN AN ENAMELED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLEImperial, attributed to the Jingdezhen Kilns, 1767-1810 Of flattened, rounded form with shoulders sloping to a cylindrical neck and resting on a concave oval foot, finely enameled on both main sides over a clear glaze with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, separated into pairs in the center by beaded pendant tassels, the neck encircled with stylized flowers reserved in white against a yellow ground; stopper. 2 1/8in (5.2cm) high 1767-1810年 御製 或為景德鎮御窯 瓷胎琺瑯彩八吉祥圖鼻煙壺 Provenance: Christie's New York, March 28th, 2013, lot 1018 Kim Green (1958-2017) Collection, no. 137 來源: 紐約佳士得,2013年3月28日,拍品編號1018 Kim Green(1958-2017)舊藏,藏品編號137 This bottle finds its parallels in enameled glass bottles with Guyuexuan marks produced in the imperial workshops in Beijing. This porcelain version is intriguing as it does not bear a mark, nor does it have a flat base upon which a mark could be written. It is similar in the execution of its design to the example in the collection of Mary and George Bloch ( Treasury 6, no. 1160) which does have a Guyuexuan mark in iron-red enamel on its base. The other differences between these two examples are the shorter height of the Green example, and its neck decoration.
