杨之光，又名焘甫，男，汉族，1930年10月生于中国上海，广东揭西人。1949年入广州艺专及南中美院，1950年入苏州美专上海分校中国画科学习，1950年夏考入北京中央美术学院绘画系。历任广州美术学院教授、系主任、副院长。曾任广州画院国画系主任、教授、副院长，美协广东分会理事，广州美术学院教授，岭南美术专修学院院长等职。2013年1月获第二届“中国美术奖·终身成就奖”。
