A set of 2 Chinese carved agate snuff bottles dating from the 19th century. The set contains: a snuff bottle with a pink glass stopper whose body is carved with a dragonfly and butterflies; and a snuff bottle with no stopper carved with 2 goldfish with lotus leaves. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide, 6.4 cm tall X 3.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both are in good condition. Provenance: From Mrs. Fullerton in New Jersey. Her father, Maurice Etangs was chief of police in Tianjin, China and lived there from 1935 to 1945.
