Muhammad Baha’ al-Din al-‘Amili (d. 1621 AD): Nan va Halva (“Breads and Sweets”), Qajar Iran, late 19th or early 20th century, A series of moralizing poems on the merits of the ascetic life, 24ff., Persian manuscript, with 12ll. of fine black Shikasteh script arranged in two columns within cloud bands, on a gilt ground, in verses, soft brown cover, folio 17.5 x 11cm. A well-known copy of this work, executed in the Deccan circa 1690, is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (inv.no. 1999-157). Please refer to department for condition report
