A large intact Iznik pottery dish, Turkey, circa 1600, underglaze painted in cobalt blue, turquoise and black and raised red overglaze, decorated to the centre with a saz leaf flanked by trailing tulips and chrysanthemums, the rim with alternating flower heads in red and turquoise, the reverse with cobalt and turquoise alternating abstract flowers, 31.5cm. diam. Nicks to rim, small loss of glaze in a curved line to interior bottom approx. 2.2cm. long, small areas of loss to glaze to red of flowers in 4 small areas, loss of glaze to foot ring
