A gilded and enamelled Ottoman glass hanging egg ornament, Egypt or Syria, late 19th century, of oval form, the cloudy glass with visible bubbles, decorated in cobalt blue and red enamel with stylised flower heads between two thin bands around mid-section of body, with gilded metal fittings, suspension loop to top, overall height 18cm.
