Iffland" and with place name "Paris" as well as foundry plaque with monogram, jug symbol and "Bronze Austria" inscribed; modern casting. Full sculptural, naturalistic depiction of a girl in a moving pose sitting on a chair and playing with a cat. The Berlin sculptor Iffland, who created portrait busts, genre and animal figures, and later Art Nouveau and Art Deco sculptures mostly of young women, was a regular at Berlin exhibitions (Academy Exhibitions, International Exhibition in 1891 and Great Art Exhibition in 1893).
