CARPET, 1st half of the 20th century, probably Shirvan, wool. Main field with ivory background, on it two large hooked red-ground medallions with floral decor. Field filled with smaller medallion and floral motifs and stylized animal motif. Circumferential main and secondary borders. Main border with light rosette frieze. Additional red- and blue-ground secondary borders with rosette and serrated frieze. With fringed finish. L. (with fringes) 169 x w. 117 cm. (Signs of use; partial repairs to the border; the color of the face has probably faded - the carpet has not been cleaned).
