A set of 4 Chinese carved porcelain plaques, dating from the Republic of China period. Carved into the porcelain in high relief, each panel features a nature scene; two with two figures, one with two cranes, and one with a solitary house. Each scene is serene and contemplative, set in a frame within a frame.
