A Chinese porcelain gilt Pekin dog figure, dating from the 19th century. The dog reclines to one side with its head up, with distinctive spotting and details in gilt glaze. Underside still retains paper tag stating: "Per Lilly Parker, McLean VA, Chinese, made for export, over 100 years old (1988) - Chinese Pekenese dog". D. 6 1/4" (15.9 cm) Condition: good condition for age and use with a repair to cracked off sliver of top of dog. Two small chips under one paw.
