Gift this charming hand-painted porcelain **Elite Limoges footed creamer/saucer for Spring hostess gift. It was painted in the 1920's when it became a fashion trend and young girls would each paint their own piece. Usually, the blank pieces came into this country from France. The light blue forget-me-nots on cream ground are a perfect mix, with the white inside and gold leaf handle, border and feet. This piece is in excellent antique condition with a normal bit of wear from age and use and measures 5.0 inches long x 4.0 inches wide x 3.50 inches tall. **A New York manufacturer that set up a Limoges factory, Bawo & Dotter, called their firm Elite Works and started turning out porcelain marked "Elite France" or "Elite Works France" in 1892. From 1900 to 1914, Elite's marks were red; they switched the color to green from 1920 to 1932. • Don't forget--antiques and vintage are naturally eco-friendly & green, and are the ultimate in helping the environment.
