Late 19th century porcelain Capodimonte pill box with bas-relief depicting a romantic couple in a country setting on the lid. The surround features each of the man and the woman tending a cow and a sheep. The box is mounted in ormolu and hand painted in the bright earthy colors. Beautiful patina, very nice condition. Rubbing to gold on the interior, not evident from the exterior. 2 3/4" long. 1 3/4" tall.
