An extremely attractive and very delicate English Creamware Dessert Dish, decorated with underglaze purple (or puce) flowers and a well-defined shell edge. The piece is very light weight and both the color and molded edge are crisp. It is 9” square and about 1 ¼” high. There is what appears to be an impressed mark on the bottom, which is too small (and blurry) to read, but it probably says “Wedgwood.” The dish displays magnificently but it does have an excellent, professional restoration to a hairline. It was restored when I got it and cannot tell you where the line is (I don’t have a black light). It is a wonderful piece!
