AN ARCHAISTIC CELADON JADE ‘ZOOMORPHIC’ PENDANTChina, 20th century. Beautifully executed in manual carving to display a high level of craftsmanship quality. The ring-form ornament depicting a stylized zoomorphic creature with small round eyes and ears emerging slightly from the jade, the body incised with double-line scrolls, the smoothly polished celadon jade with attractive white mottled inclusions and subtle russet tones.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s.
