A FINE ARCHAISTIC SILVER REPOUSSÉ VESSEL OF A MYTHICAL BIRD, QINGChina, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). The silver vessel in the form of a mythical bird, standing on its two webbed feet, with closed wings, its mouth agape and with pointy ears, the circular lid attached with a chain. The vessel adorned with finely incised archaistic patterns, and the underside with a silver hallmark.Condition: Very good condition with minimal surface wear, warping, light scratches, minuscule dents, and small malachite encrustations. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
