青金石又称天青石，蓝紫色或蓝绿色的准宝石。青金石色是藏传佛教中药师佛的身色。在古代，青金石与黄金等价。据记载，中国古代的青金石主要来自阿富汗和贝加尔湖地区。此赏瓶以上乘青金石雕就，通体以高浮雕云龙纹饰，画面饱满。整体器形雅致，雕工细腻精湛，制作极为精美，加工时代明显。应为清代案头清玩之物，难能可贵。扁圆形，盖瓶。唇口、长颈，丰肩，敛腹，深足。盖钮圆雕坐狮，颈、腹两侧各饰两道扉棱，双耳为如意耳，腹部主饰上为正面云龙纹。纹饰古朴，刻工遒劲，器形挺括。
