A Chinese gilt bronze guanyin figure, dating from the Ming dynasty. In three pieces which all fit together; base, lotus platform, and seated Guanyin figure. The figure sits in lotus position with robe flowing to sides, with both hands in mudra sign with right hand raised. Overall: 10" (25.4 cm) Provenance: Estate of Mr Ronald Murphy,Hangover, CT Condition: good condition overall for age, material, and use. Most of original gilding is lost, with aging and exposure to the bronze pieces.
