A SMALL GREEN JADE CONG, QING OR EARLIERChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Finely carved in the style of the Liangzhu culture, showing fine details, all executed through manual carving and chiseling with no modern tool marks. The slightly tapering thick-sided square-section facetted exterior is incised with bands of horizontals lines below a stylized mask, terminating in a short circular foot and mouth, the interior aperture of characteristic circular section. The polished, opaque stone of spinach green and yellow color with russet inclusions and darker veining.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s. Weight: 324 g Dimensions: Height 10 cm
