A Tall Chinese Neolithic Banpo Pottery Amphora with Oxford TL Test (4800-4300 BC). Made from a pale yellowish-brown pottery, the slender body with a pointed base, two handles at the waist and a flared mouth. Complete with custom-made metal display stand. Height (not including stand) 38.5cm (15 inches). With Thermoluminescence Analysis Report from Oxford Authentication from 2006. Neolithic, Banpo Culture (c. 4800 – 4300 BC). Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
