A LARGE Chinese Warring States Impressed Pottery Jar (475 - 221 BC). A large and impressive pottery jar made from a fine-grained grey pottery with a smooth burnished surface. Around its middle are three bands of impressed decoration. Height 49cm (19.25 inches), diameter 45.5cm (18 inches). Warring States period (475 – 221 BC). Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
