A Large & Rare Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Hu Jar. This pottery “hu” jar is of fine form with a wide flared mouth, short neck and wide body. It has been expertly decorated in a variety of cold-painted pigments. The main design features three large geese standing in various positions. There are also smaller geese, above and below which are wide coloured bands and geometric patterns. Height 34.5cm. Han Dynasty (206 BC – AD 220).
