A Studio Pottery Jar, St. Ives, Bernard Leach with Gold Kintsugi Repair. Bearing the impressed St.Ives mark and very likely decorated by Bernard Leach. With a Japanese gold lacquer (kintsugi) repair to a chip to the inner rim. Dating to the 1960s. Diameter 10.5cm, height 8.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton. Mr. Page was a great fan of Bernard Leach and met and had tea with him on more than one occasion during the 1960s.
